A Natural, Organic, Biodynamic Wine Club?
Yup, You Need to Join It With Me
I’ve gotten pretty attached to the word “organic.”
In fact, I’ll admit to being fully obsessed with filling my house with organic stuff, from bedding to bread.
Wine, up until about a month ago, was no exception. I would head into bottle shops with my head held high, knowing that I would only come out with wines bearing what I thought was the cleanest and purest of labels.
I felt pretty good about all that UNTIL I met Nick Pizzonia, the curator of Court Liquors’ Wine Club, and learned about the natural, organic AND biodynamic wines he finds at the vineyards of small, artisanal wine growers all over the world.
Wines that contribute to healthy lifestyles by holistically employing a grape-growing approach focused on the soil beneath the grapes, animal welfare, lunar cycles and other spiritual forces.
Wines created through a process similar to organic farming in that there is an absence of chemicals, but with a deeper commitment to natural preparations. With biodynamics, absolutely no manufactured additions can be used. The vineyard is treated as its own ecosystem.
Yes, every yogic fiber in my being totally tingled when I heard all of that.
I placed my order immediately and you can do the same by clicking right here. If you want to compare notes next month, I chose the 6 bottle mix of reds and whites. (There is a monthly 3 bottle option too).
7 days later, I saw a white van pull up in front of my house. One of the nicest guys in the world (I am so mad I didn’t catch his name!) hopped out and delivered my 6 bottles of natural, organic and biodynamic wine directly to my doorstep. He actually offered to carry the box in, but I was slightly embarrassed that my kids were running around in their underwear, so I declined. Mom life, right?
3 weeks later, I can confidently say that I have 6 new favorite wines. Every single bottle was absolutely wonderful. I shared them with friends – though I sort of wish I saved them for myself – and the feedback was 100% positive. Everyone asked for snaps of the labels and directions to Court Liquors.
Now you need to know that these wines aren’t readily available in stores – not even at Nick’s shop. Nick sources his wine picks from small, family-owned vineyards that just aren’t able to produce vino for the masses, which makes the club even MORE special. That being said, I promise you that Nick will help you find something comparable if you head into Court Liquors desperately searching for another sip of one of the limited release bottles included in the Court Liquors Artisinal Wine Club collection. #speakingfromexperience
