I love your readjusted definition of feminism and the important point that a man never has to qualify his decisions.
If we, as women, spent more time respecting and building each other up rather than judging each other, what a force we could be.
    Much respect lovely lady!

I think that’s always bothers me about people spouting feminism; they figure that if you aren’t a career woman or in a corporate position, you aren’t a feminist. Can’t I be a feminist and be home with my kids?

Exactly! The idea that we all just support each other seems so easy, yet everyone seems to have a hard time with it! I don’t understand why. Someone else making different choices about their life doesn’t affect you! Be your own woman!

I have always been a feminist, because I’ve always known that I am equal to any human being. it saddens me when some people think of it as a negatively charged word.

I feel the same way! I think the word has SO much goodness…but it has been distorted 🙁

I love this! First, are you from NJ? I am too but I l’ve been in MD for 6 years now. Always a Jersey girl at heart <3.

Second, I am a paralegal and I love the legal field but I can completely relate to the grappling questions you had. The legal field is not what you see on tv and I believe people have a misconception until they enter that world and see that it's not what it is on tv.

Third, I love your re-defined definition of feminism. Women have it SO hard in this world and I feel that we should not have to answer to anyone but ourselves, especially not to people who aren't even sure about their own lives. Women owe NOTHING to NOBODY but OURSElVES

Thank you for sharing and keep rocking it.

Oooh I’m feeling this one right now. I dropped over 100K on a prestigious MBA to do what? Get married, have kids, and abandon my corporate slavery? Become a writer? What? Is that even a CAREER???

You’ve brought back horrible nightmares about law school and the dreaded bar exam lol. I was admitted 3 years ago now and I love it. The key thing though I think is to respect each other and our choices. your kids are going to be proud of seeing you love what you do rather than be stuck in a career that you hate. Keep it up mama.
